services performed by Flatline Recovery shall be subject to the following
terms and conditions. Use of Flatline Recovery’s service shall
be deemed acceptance of the Terms and Conditions stated herein.
1.Quotes: Flatline Recovery will give our customers a free estimated quote based on the information the customers provide to us. Flatline Recovery may require more information on occasions about the problem to determine an accurate quote. We will always endeavor to do our best to give an accurate estimated quote. However, there are times when the real problem with the device or medium is not determined until we perform diagnostics and after re-evaluation the problem is worse then originally anticipated. At that time the customer will be notified if a higher rate is justified. Because we are providing an estimated quote for something that is sight unseen, and based on information provided by the customer, the final quoted price may be different.
2.Services: All data recovery services rendered by Flatline Recovery are performed by our own technicians. Flatline Recovery does not hire out any work nor have any worked performed by another company or individuals not employed by Flatline Recovery. Diagnostics are performed without charge to our customers. A list of files and, or directories will be made available to the customer prior to requiring any payment from the customer. If the file list meets the customer’s approval, our customers can then make the payment to receive the data that was recovered. If we are not successful in recovering the data, there is no charge to the customer, pay only return shipping cost. At times the recovery process requires invasive procedures and in doing so, some manufacturer’s warranty may be voided. If invasive procedures are not required, then any factory warranty shall not become an issue and any manufacturer’s warranty should remain intact during the recovery process.
3.Devices and Mediums: Our customers shall accept the all devices or medium that is submitted to Flatline Recovery for our services is to be considered damaged goods. And as damaged goods, Flatline Recovery shall not be liable for any failure to recover data or any consequential damages or losses due to this failure. Neither shall Flatline Recovery be liable for any further failure of said damaged goods. After 60 days any unpaid charges, shall be considered abandonment by the customer. Also any storage devices sent in by that customer, may be disposed of at our discretion.
4.Clean Room Environment: At times drives are opened and temporarily repaired in a clean room environment for data recovery purposes. This does not repair the drive for reuse. It is only done when required in order to recover the data.
5.Privacy: Flatline Recovery regards our customer’s information with utmost importance. Our customer’s information records are kept private and guarded with strict confidence.
